Microsoft Could Be In For A Major Xbox One Sales Increase In The Fall

descarga (1)

E3 has come and gone, with tons of new games coming out from all 3 game industries. Although Sony announced a handful of new IPs provided more information on their Project Morpheus, many of the titles seem to slide out of the Fall 2015 time frame. Microsoft on the other hand, has a solid line-up of games during the fall months, which may result in an increase in sales for Xbox during the fall months.

Sony does have a triple a title slated for release in October, that title being Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The only problem with this is that this is the only big title coming in the fall months for Playstation, and it’s not a brand new game, and is a remastered version of the series’ previous titles. While remasters aren’t terrible by any means, they won’t receive as much hype as a new title would. Not only this, but the upcoming remastered collection doesn’t have the online modes of any of the 3 games included, which was loved by many fans.

The Uncharted series made its first debut in 2007, making it a newer but by no means any weaker of a candidate than the games below. The series’ title, Uncharted 3: Among Thieves, is the highest rated game of the series so far, and is ranked 3rd-highest rated PS3 title on Metacritic, and has won numerous Game of the Year awards. The series trilogy has sold over 21 million copies worldwide as of June 2015.

While Sony has one remastered triple A title scheduled to release in October, Microsoft has 3 triple A titles scheduled for Fall 2015. Each game has each month covered as well, increasing the chance of a major sales increase for these months. Forza 6 is set to release September 15th, Halo 5: Guardians releasing October 27th, and Rise of the Tomb Raider is scheduled for a November 10th release. Another important thing to note about the upcoming Tomb Raider title is that the previous installments were released on both Xbox and Playstation, but now that the upcoming game is only available on the Xbox One, some may steer towards Xbox. With 3 solid titles lined up for the months of Fall, Xbox seems to have the market this Fall.

The Halo series has been around since November of 2001, and has held the hearts of millions of gamers since then. Each Halo game has outdone the other in sales, only improving as the games’ library continues to grow. Halo is currently a 3 billion dollar franchise with good reason. The Forza Motorsport series has been around since May of 2005. As of 2010, the games have sold over 10 million copies. The Forza series is a widely critically acclaimed racing game and is considered by most to be the best racing game series of all time. Tomb Raider was first introduce all the way back in 1996 and is still alive today. The Tomb Raider games have sold over 35 million units, making it one of the best-selling video game series of all time.

What do you think? Do you think Xbox has this Fall pinned down? Or do you think Playstation still has a chance with their Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection? Let us know in the comments below!

The biggest E3 games from Sony was a community made kickstarter that won’t see the light of day until 2018, and a ff7 remake that, let’s face it, is so niche, it’s not going to sell huge.

MS killed E3 with its game lineup and there is nothing but damage control going on in the Sony camp right now.

Sony and the ps4 has sold on nothing but hype, it’s slightly better resolution and Bloodborne, the rest of its exclusives have been one huge train wreck and only the third party games have kept it alive so well.

People are waking up to the fact 1080p isn’t as important as once thought and the games are where the fun is.

The xbone has an absolute killer line up incoming.

Haha absolutely amazing the way you left out A LOT of people’s game of show, Horizon Zero Dawn. MS killed E3 with their games??? I don’t even recall a single thing that stood out, sorry.
Oh and plenty of games coming to PS4 in 2015 if you are willing to wake up and listen for 5 seconds. http://psgamer.co.uk/news/8797/the-44-ps4-exclusives-that-are-still-to-come-in-2015/
And this is a list of games STILL to come to PS4 in 2015. Not like in Xbox camp where the next game in September 2015 Forza 6 will be the first major Exclusive release for the console since Sunset Overdrive in October 2014, 11 months ago lol. Let THAT realisation sink in since you talk up game releases as being SO important.

      • Ricoh123

The ps4 has had one decent exclusive in its entire life history.

There really isn’t anything you can say to make that damage control work at all.

        The games speak for themselves.

2015 is going to end amazingly for xb1.

The ps4 might have a good 2017 when Horizon gets released, and perhaps a good 2018 when shenmue gets released, other than that, it has nothing.

The XBO is quickly making a name for itself as being the console with all the “real” exclusives.

As far as Sony is concerned at least we now know what to expect at next years E3 – more crowd funded games! Looks like Sony has definitely found a way to overcome their money issues!

The xbox needs sales so I hope it does sell well. But I won’t be buying one 😉

    • Ricoh123

The Xbox does need sales, but not in the way you think it does.

It’s not struggling, and its the second fastest selling console in history, only behind the ps4.

It’s doing fine, and if it continues on this path, it will continue to be fine.

It’s slowly shaping to be one of the best consoles in history.

      • drjonesjnr

Its not the second fastest selling console ever lol where did you pull that from? Oh dear lol

    • andy

Same here. Looks like the usual reasons for avoiding 360 the last 10 years with their infamous Gears, Halo, Fable and Forza hand showing, all in the same fall.

      • drjonesjnr

        Yep same shit different day

      • john smith

Hmm.. No Halo, Gears, Fable and Forza here looks like mostly brand new IP’s to me.

There were constant articles like this when Sunset Overdrive was pretty much the first and ONLY major AAA Exclusive game for the Xbone in 2014. Guess what, PS4 still annihilated Xbone worldwide the entire year. Oh and there hasn’t been a single game since then either and won’t be until Forza in September, 11 months later.
So I can perfectly understand if a lot of you “gaming journalists” want to get completely over excited about 4 major exclusive games this year since yous went so BONKERS over 1 game last year (a game that sadly hasn’t even SHIPPED a million units to stores yet 🙁 ).

  • John Tambanillo

It will sell xboxes during the holidays but I don’t think it will be enough to surpass the ps4. There are also great 3rd party games coming out at the same time for both consoles so who knows what might happen. Competition is great!

The piss station 4 is done flushed down the toilet. Xbox Won

  • Revolver Ocelot

Xbox rodents said the same thing last year. Turns out their games flopped and it took massive price cuts and bundling to get them to shift.

No games await on the Shitbox Done.

Xbox one is the fastest turn around console yet!
