These Voice Actors Would Be Amazing For The Legend Of Zelda Characters

zelda

There are some rumors going around that the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U/NX will bring full on voice acting to the franchise for the first time. Some people are for this and some are against it. I personally feel like it is time for the game to evolve in this way and thought it would be fun to give some ideas as to who could voice the characters. Now we don’t know really any characters for sure who were be appearing in the upcoming game but I’ll just list some franchise staples that could appear. Here are the actors we think would be fun to hear in the new Legend of Zelda game.

1. Laura Bailey as Zelda

When I think of who should voice Zelda the first female voice actor that comes to mind is of course Laura Bailey. Laura Bailey is one of the most recognizable female voice actors not only in the game industry but she has also played a lot of anime characters. You may know her as Fetch from Infamous Second Son or First Light and she is also playing Kait Diaz in the upcoming Gears of War 4. Other games she is in include Uncharted 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Final Fantasy XIII and many more. Just go look up here wiki page and I’m sure you’ll find something you’ve played that she played a part in. Laura has such a wide range with her voice that I’m sure she could do a great job bringing a voice to Zelda for the first time.

2. Christopher Sabat as Ganondorf

sabat ganondorf

This was a hard pick but I feel like Christopher Sabat would do a great job doing the voice of Ganondorf should he appear in the new Zelda game. Sabat isn’t known a lot in the game industry having only played a few roles in the various Borderlands games, Comic Jumper and a few others. Where he is mostly known from is his work in the anime industry. He did the voices of several characters in DragonBall Z such as Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, and more. He has also done work in One Piece, YuYu Hakusho, Fullmetal Alchemist and many more. Because he has done a lot of work in these areas I’m pretty sure he could deliver a great performance for the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda. Sabat has played many evil characters in his history so I feel he would be a good fit.

3. Troy Baker as Link

Yes, the rumor is that Link will not have voice acting, but we’re going to add the character to our wishlist anyway! Troy Baker appears in just about every video game that comes out but for good reason. The man knows how to deliver great performances and has shown he can do a wide range of characters. He played the main character in both Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us as well as Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid V. He has played in the Batman games, Persona games, Final Fantasy XIII and so many more. He knows how to handle the lead role and I believe would be the best fit to give Link a voice for the first time. If Troy Baker couldn’t do Link justice then I doubt anyone else could.

Those are our picks for who should play the main characters in the next Legend of Zelda game should it feature voice acting. I’d love to hear the actors listed above voicing my favorite characters from this franchise and I know I wouldn’t be let down. What about you? Do you want voice acting in the next Legend of Zelda? Do you agree with our choices for who should play them? Tell us in the comments below.
