Injustice was one of my favourite fighting games – and while it may not have reached the same standards that we see in the likes of Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter, it was certainly a contender. The game itself was not the biggest but it had a decent following, with the press and audience giving it a lot of favourable reviews.
While this may be a rumour, the fighting game could have a potential sequel according to a French news site, Gameblog who said they had sources telling them that the game would be announced in the next few days. If this is to be true, it would be just before E3, giving the developers just enough time to show it off during the expo.
It’s also rumoured that NetherRealms who are behind the huge Mortal Kombat series would be developing it, and it would be build using the Mortal Kombat X engine – this comes as no surprise as the company are a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment who published the previous Injustice game.
We’ve yet to have any verification from the sources, however we’ll be watching closely to see if these presumptions are true – as well as this, NetherRealms seem to have nothing on the way that we’ve heard of, so something like Injustice having a sequel made would be probably and warmly welcomed.
What are your thoughts on this? Would you like to see another Injustice game, or perhaps NetherRealms should make another Mortal Kombat instead? Were you a fan of the first? Let us know down below!
