Big Xbox One Update With UI Overhauls Coming To Preview Today

1608-6

It was just at the tail end of last year that the Xbox One got the ‘NXOE’ or New Xbox One Experience update that completely overhauled the dashboard and Xbox One interface, completing the transition to Windows 10.

With the anniversary update coming up for Windows 10, the Xbox One will also receive quite a hefty UI update, as showcased by Microsoft today. Larry Hryb talks to Mike Ybarra from the Xbox engineering team about the upcoming Xbox update. New features include Cortana, voice commands through headset, updates to My Games & Apps, Facebook friend finder and more.

You will also notice the various cosmetic changes Microsoft is making to the Xbox One dashboard. Currently, accessing your library of games isn’t as fast as some people might like. Starting with the latest update, you can simply access it on the right side of the screen above the ads. You now have the ability tovertically, rather than horizontally, to find your games which should come in handy for those with a large collection of games.
