With E3 2016 finally getting started later this week, we’re ready and waiting to see the latest and greatest from some of the biggest publishers and developers of the year and years to come – alongside big names such as Sony and Microsoft, both of which are in development stages with a new console each.
The latest rumour regarding this, is that Microsoft may be showing off some new hardware according to Click Online. They say that a new report had been suggesting that Microsoft will be unveiling something with ‘Xbox’ on the name, and while this could be an ‘Xbox Exclusive’ like Dead Rising 4, it could also be a quick demonstration of what to expect from the Xbox One follow up console.
However, in its current state, the updated Xbox console is in very early stages in the console generation, and we’re more likely to see an Xbox One slim being shipped later on in 2016. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing though, as the current Xbox One is a very loud and heavy console and a smaller version could bring a lot more much needed customers for the company.
As of yet, Microsoft has confirmed little to nothing for E3, however as it’s been 20 years since we first saw Lara Croft, we’re hoping to see some new news about a new game in the franchise. We’ll let you know when we do!
E3 kicks off on the 12th June, 2016, with EA taking the stage first. So before then, let us know what you’re hoping to see most at E3! We’d love to hear from you!
