Microsoft took a very surprising approach to their hardware reveals at E3 this year. Microsoft opened the show with the new, slimmer, sexier Xbox One S and closed it with the more powerful Project Scorpio.
It was a bold move and even left some confused; thinking that announcing a 6 tflops machine for next year when the slim is out this year would “cannibalize” sales is what many predicted. Well, Phil Spencer doesn’t agree and if the evidence of the Xbox One S selling out doesn’t support his argument then I don’t know what does.
@SnoopyG7 Great response, thanks 2 everyone. Some thought Scorpio would overshadow S , it hasn’t. Sharing our plans openly has worked so far

There it is, folks. We probably won’t see updates on actual sales figures for the S until NPD data but all signs are pointing to a positive start. We’ll update you when we get more.
