Microsoft’s slimmer, sleeker, and all-around more beautiful re-design of the Xbox One released in Europe and other territories on the 2nd of this month and stock quickly ran out. Even as early as a few days before the official release date some major retailers were selling out of the Xbox One S 2TB bundle.
Eurogamer.cz reports that Microsoft has no plans to replenish stock of the white 2TB model, which launched with an RRP of £349. This means that those of us that missed out will have to buy the Gears of War 4 limited edition console or buy the 500gb/1TB bundles which should become available soon.
“We’re excited by the reaction from fans for the Xbox One S. While stock of the 2TB has sold out, gamers can pre-order the Xbox One S 2TB Gears of War Limited Edition console,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer when asked for more information.
Play the greatest games line-up, including Xbox 360 classics, on a 40% smaller console. Just don’t let its size fool you: with an internal power supply and up to 2TB of internal storage, the Xbox One S is the most advanced Xbox ever. It appears that the Xbox One S is sold out at current major retailers in the UK which probably means demand has exceeded supply
The Xbox One S is launching in 2TB, 1TB and 500GB models. The 2TB model is out now in the major Western territories. The smaller models are set to launch August 23rd in the US, but Microsoft has not confirmed EU dates yet.
