PlayStation Plus October 2016 Game Predictions

psplus

Hello PlayStation Plus members it is time to make some predictions for the October 2016 Plus lineup. September had a pretty good set of games in 2012 Game of the Year winner Journey and Lords of the Fallen which was a Dark Souls like game. In addition PS4 members also got Badland: Game of the Year edition thanks to it being cross-buy with the Vita version. So what might we get in October?

1. The Evil Within

Given that it is October I figured maybe we will get a horror game to fit the time. The Evil Within is now around two years old now and is one of the best survival/horror games on the system. Many gamers missed out on this one so it would be a good chance to introduce new players to this great new franchise from Bethesda and Shinji Makami.

2. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

This October PS4 owners will finally get to play Rise of the Tomb Raider with all the DLC and new content included. However if you haven’t yet played the reboot than this would be a good time to see it come to PlayStation Plus. It would get those who still haven’t played it get caught up with the rebooted Lara Croft and get them excited for the new one that is launching just a week later.

3. Bound By Flame

This one is not one I would be very excited about but it fits into that AAA/Retail space. Bound by Flame is a RPG that offers questing, crafting, and the other usual things you would expect. It’s not the best but neither was Lords of the Fallen and I could see Sony using this one to fill that AAA space in the lineup. I’m sure many have not played this game and maybe including it in the lineup will gain it a few more fans.

4. Killzone: Shadow Fall

At some point Sony has to add Killzone: Shadow Fall to the Plus lineup right? The game is now almost 3 years old now from when it debuted as a PS4 launch title. It’s still one of the better looking games on the PS4 and the gameplay is very fun. There are still people playing the multiplayer to this day so it would help that community if it goes free on PlayStation Plus. It could also ignite sales of some of the DLC for the game including the pretty good co-op expansion.

5. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag

My final game prediction is that we could see Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag in the Plus lineup this month. It was yet another launch title that could be old enough now to be included plus it’s been free on other platforms. AC4: Black Flag was also probably the last best Assassin’s Creed game even if it feels more like a pirate game. The game is beautiful and is a very long game that will keep people busy for sure.

So those are my predictions for some of the games we might see in the October PlayStation Plus lineup. Hopefully we’ll see at least one of them included. Let us know in the comments what games you want in the October 2016 Plus lineup.

I actually don’t want any of those games. I either own them all already or don’t want them.

      Well fuck you then

        Ha!

I beat the Evil Within on the ps3, I would love another go on the ps4!! That would make me exceptionally happy! ?

It would be REALLY awesome if they’d release a special one time re-issue of the Silent Hill, PT demo; in light of Halloween! I realize that’s close to never, but hey… a gal can dream!

I’d love Black Flag if it’s the PS4 version, I wouldn’t mind playing that as I completed it on the PS3. Killzone is good but I have it, Evil Within is shit, Tomb Raider is great but I finished that years ago, Bound By Flame….I’ll give it a go. If these are correct, of course.

I predict none of those will happen. It’s about time we had an Indie Pixel art platformer, surely?
