PlayStation Plus December 2016 Predictions

psplus2

After a few really good months of free games on PlayStation Plus the November lineup wasn’t as good. The final month of the year is coming up and I’m sure we’re all hoping that Sony gives us something nice for Christmas. Something to compliment whatever games people may be buying for their loved ones this year. After watching some of the selections these past few months here are my predictions for what you may see in the December 2016 PlayStation Plus lineup.

1. Knack

Knack_Review1

Yeah Knack isn’t one that I’ve included in these predictions very much as it’s not one of the best games out there. With that said there are a few reasons why I could see it included this month. One of them being that it would make a great family game for those who are buying a PS4 for their kids. Another reason is that the game supports PS4 Pro which just launched and would be a great addition to give those who are buying one something to show it off. Knack was originally a PS4 launch title three years ago and is one I certainly wouldn’t rule out to see in the lineup.

2. N++

N++

Over the past few months we’ve gotten some retail games and some indie games. PlayStation Plus has a history of giving the games that are in the Summer PLAY promotion away free later on. Every game in the 2015 Summer PLAY promotion has been free on PlayStation Plus now except N++. The others were Galak-Z, Journey, and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. So that is why I could see the challenging platformer N++ coming next month. The N series has a pretty good fanbase and this latest one is just as brutally difficult as they always are.

3. Tearaway Unfolded

Here is one I haven’t seen a lot of talk about for being a PlayStation Plus game but I think we could see Tearaway Unfolded in the PlayStation Plus lineup. Like Knack it would make a great game for a great game for younger gamers who may be getting a PS4 this Christmas. The game is actually one of the best games on PS4 and one of the most underrated for sure. Media Molecule has made some great PlayStation games and more people getting to play Tearaway Unfolded would only be a good thing.

4. Wolfenstein: The New Order

2016 has been a great year for first person shooters. Games like DOOM, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare have all been stellar but there is one franchise we didn’t see a new entry for this year and that’s Wolfenstein. We have heard rumors that a new Wolfenstein game may be on the way in 2017 and to get more people familiar with it why not give Wolfenstein: The New Order away on PlayStation Plus? It is yet another game that didn’t get played by as many players as it deserved. It and the prequel The Old Blood have some of the best FPS campaigns of this console generation. The New Order is almost three years old now so hopefully we’ll see it in the lineup in December.

There are four game predictions for what I think you could see in the December 2016 PlayStation Plus lineup. I’m sure many will complain if N++ is in the lineup but I feel like it’s coming for sure at some point for the reasons I mentioned above. All of the others would be great additions and should make most members happy for the month. What do you want to see in the December PlayStation Plus lineup? Let us know in the comments below.

    These are all terrible and fotgetabble games.

      Wolfenstein: The new order was a phenomenal game. One of the best FPS games in the past few years. Easily in most gamers’ top tens of that year. The rest are meh

      • Nate Cross

        Wolfenstein sucked. All of these games look stupid. Its Christmas. The least they can do is give us some great AAA games.

  • asbofive

    Wolfenstein: The New Order is freaking gold, the rest? Meh……

    • Jonathan C

      Yup, Wolfenstein is a fantastic shooter. Could care less about the others

  • Professor Murder

    If these are the actual choices, hopefully Wolfenstein and Terraway make the cut. Knack….ughh, and N++? Seems like indie tablet choice.

  • Nate Cross

    This game list is crap. I hope they give us some great games for Christmas not this load of dirty pants. That N++ game looks like it was made in a newborns nappy! Though, I suppose Knack and Tearaway might be fun, as I haven’t played them (don’t ever want to play N++) as I’m not normally into childish platformers, but if they’re free I’ll play them.

    I think one of the games will be ARK survival evolved 80% sure.

    • chan

      It can’t be made free before it’s even released, it doesn’t come out until about December 16

      • NevaNonGaming

        Well you just got proven wrong because arc survival is coming out on December 6 no it’s not a PlayStation plus game but the 6th is before the 16 lol

      • NevaNonGaming

        The only reason it wasn’t a PlayStation plus game is because Sony didn’t offer them enough money for the game, at least that’s what I’m guessing since it is being released on the same day as the PlayStation plus games.
