During the trailer for Xbox’s big Christmas sale, some of the games that will be in the sale appeared throughout. What you may have overlooked though was that Call Of Duty: Black Ops II was shown in that trailer too. After viewing all the Xbox 360 titles that were showcased in the sale, they were notorious BC additions throughout the year.
Here is the image.
Not convinced yet? I wasn’t just yet until this was said on Majornelson.com
“Countdown includes deals for both Xbox One and Xbox 360, with titles up to 60 percent off, including discounts on some of this year’s most popular games, like Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Watch Dogs 2 and many more! If that’s not enough choose from over 40 backward compatible titles on sale!”
The last part was very interesting, as it seems the titles that were being advertised were Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible, and in Black Ops II’s case, possibly upcoming. Phil Spencer also tweeted that January “looks pretty good for BC” which again could be another hint.
Backwards Compatible titles are done for 2016, but this sale runs until January 9th so it’s very possible we could see Black Ops II as one of the first BC titles of 2017.
