It looks like it could be a big year for Ubisoft this year. Ubisoft is doing their conference on June 12th at 1PM PDT. Already we know about Far Cry 5 and the new Assassin’s Creed game. I am looking forward to what other kinds of games that Ubisoft has in the works as well as any DLCs for the recent games that just came out in the last year.
Prediction One—Far Cry 5
My first prediction for Ubisoft is that they are going to showcase more of Far Cry 5 which they had announced last month. We know that its going to be released February 27 2018. So I expect Ubisoft to give us some gameplay or more of a backstory for it. Just by what we know about the game already, this does seem to be a promising game from Ubisoft in the new year.
Prediction Two—Assassin’s Creed
My second prediction would have to be the new Assassin’s Creed game. By now, it seems like we all have heard about the new AC game which they have called Origins. Now hopefully, Ubisoft will show us officially this new Assassin’s Creed game and a release date for the game. I am also excepting some kind of gameplay as well. Since this will be the first Assassin’s Creed game in two years after taking a break last year due to the Assassin’s Creed Movie, I am hoping for some big things in the new Assassin’s Creed game. From what we already know from the leaks about this AC game is that there will be some waterfront action like in Black Flag and Rouge. Instead of synching using a tall building, we would be using an eagle. Also it looks like we would be going back to sitting in the animus with Desmond as opposed to the new games where we are just sitting behind the computer. There’s much more from the leaks but it would be interesting to see if the leaks were correct.
Prediction Three—Just Dance 2018
I’m interested to see if Ubisoft is going to release their dancing game Just Dance this year. Just Dance has become a popular yearly game from Ubisoft so I doubt that they would skip a year of Just Dance.
Prediction Four—South Park—The Fractured But Whole
Since last year when Ubisoft had announced South Park The Fractured But Whole, it would be cool to see some more of the gameplay for the game before they release the game in October.
Prediction Five—Steep DLC
I think that it would be interesting to see if Ubisoft does any DLC for this Steep game that was just released back in December. For the DLC, they could add more locations than what is already in the game.
Prediction Six—Tom Clancy
It seems like every year there is some kind of Tom Clancy game. So I am thinking that either Ubisoft will take a break from Tom Clancy for a year or so like how they did with Assassin’s Creed or if Ubisoft does announce something Tom Clancy it would probably be DLC for the latest Tom Clancy game. It would be interesting to see if they even come out with another Tom Clancy game.
Prediction Seven—For Honor DLC
I am thinking that For Honor would probably get a DLC either this year or next year. If anything else, I am expecting big updates coming from them considering how bad For Honor had started.
Prediction Eight—The Crew 2
I’m hoping that Ubisoft announces a sequel to the Crew game. If they do, I am thinking that it would be released very late this year or sometime in 2018. I am also expecting some gameplay if they have any at the moment.
Prediction Nine—New games
As for this part, I’m expecting Ubisoft to at least tell us what they have in the works or are planning to work on even if they don’t have trailers or gameplays for the games they are planning on working on.
Prediction Ten—Games Shown With Scorpio
I really hope that Ubisoft shows at least a couple of games that will be released on the Scorpio or at least can be played on it. It would be amazing if they actually have a person doing a gameplay on the Scorpio on stage while they are talking about the game and how it works on the Scorpio. (This is probably more on the side of Microsoft conference but it still would be cool to see that at the Ubisoft conference)
