Here is part two of my July’s Games With Gold Predictions. In part one, I had predicted Batman: Arkham Origins, Alien: Isolation, Evolve, and Fallout 3. In part two of my predictions, I am going back and looking at some of my previous predictions that I would like to see as a Game With Gold.
*Reminder: The Games With Gold for June are Speedrunners, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed III, Dragon Age Origins, and DLC for Phantom Dust.
1) Dishonored: Definitive Edition
Set in a fictional town of Dunwall, the story follows Corvo Attano who is framed for the killing of Empress Jessamine. Corvo escapes the prison and takes revenge on those who had framed him for the crime. Along the way, he rescues the daughter of the Empress, Emily, who we learn in Dishonored 2 is also his daughter. Emily then is kidnapped again by the people who had helped Corvo get out of prison so Corvo rescues Emily and kills the ones who had helped him escaped. I enjoy this game because it gives you different options of how to carry on the missions. You can be stealthy or go all out and kill everyone or a combo of the two.
2) South Park: Stick of Truth
South Park The Stick of Truth is an RPG in which the new kid in town is torn between the game war between the humans, elves, and wizards over the Stick of Truth. During the game, we come across Nazi zombies, aliens, and gnomes. With all of this going on, the town is threatened with destruction. Just like the cartoon series, the Stick of Truth does have the same elements of comedy and humor which make it a funny and lovable game. The gameplay is great. When playing as the new kid, just the interaction between the other kids in the game makes you feel like you are in the show/game itself.
3) Red Dead Redemption
This is the second game in the Red Dead series. It is set in the American Frontier. It is set in 1911 and it follows John Marston who is a former outlaw and his wife and son are taken hostage by the government in ransom for his services as a hired gun. Marston, having no other choice, goes out to bring three members of his former gang to justice. Red Dawn Redemption is a third-person game and it has an open world with a morality system. So the player can interact with the world at his own pace and based on his decisions & actions, the other characters respond to the player.
