PlayStation Plus February 2018 Predictions

psplus2

Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to a new round of PlayStation Plus predictions. Sony kicked off 2018 on PlayStation Plus in pretty good shape by offering two pretty great titles in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman The Telltale Series Season 1. Not only that but we got another bonus PlayStation VR title in Starblood Arena as well.

As we head toward month number two of 2018 we are going to make a few predictions on some titles that could appear in the lineup next month.

1. Rime

Heading into February one title I think we could see is RiME from Tequila Works and Deep Silver. RiME is the story of a boy who must use his wits and ingenuity to survive – and ultimately escape from – a mysterious island and a terrible curse. An end, and a new beginning. A strange island with a sinister secret, and an open-world adventure with a difference. As a boy who finds he is key to solving a series of ancient puzzles, you’ll use an enigmatic artefact to manipulate your environment and even time itself. I think a lot of people missed out on this indie gem last year and we could see it offered so more can experience it.

2. Gravity Rush Remastered

Originally released on the PlayStation Vita, Gravity Rush Remastered made it’s way to the PS4 in early 2016 and was followed up by Gravity Rush 2 early last year. We’ve seen this game available on PlayStation Plus in a few other regions of the world but I think introducing more players in the US and Europe to Kat’s world would be a good idea. It’s one of the more underrated PlayStation 4 gems for sure.

3. Mad Max

Mad Max is another game that seems like it would be a good fit for PlayStation Plus. Mad Max released in September 2015 and largely flew under the radar due to launching the same day as Metal Gear Solid V. While the game wasn’t without its issues it was a pretty good adaptation on the license and was kind of fun. I’m sure more people would gladly check it out if given the chance as part of their subscription.

4. LocoRoco Remastered

locoroco 2

Last Summer Sony brought the PSP favorite LocoRoco back in LocoRoco Remastered for the PlayStation 4. The game has improved resolution over the PSP version and is a great throwback game for those fans. In the game the peaceful world of the LocoRoco are under attack by the not-so-nice Moja Corps! These evil outer space creatures have come to take the LocoRoco from their land of blowing flowers, lively creatures, and pastel scenery. You must move the LocoRoco through more than 40 levels of slippery slopes, teetering platforms, and maze-like passages.

I would pass all of them but Gravity.

  • I hope Rime and/or Gravity for February’s PS Plus games. LocoRoco can suck it and I already got Mad Max which was surprisingly good. I noticed the past 2years eve since I slowed down on buying sooooo many games on Day One, that PS Plus has become SOOOOOO much more worth it. Now, most of the games I want but pass on due to money constraints I still usually end up getting down the road with PS Plus, lol… ESP the good indies and mid to high level Sony exclusives.
