The Halo TV Series is not dead!

So you might not remember but back in 2013 (yes, I know 5 years in gaming years is a long time) but at E3, Microsoft announced that a live-action Halo tv series was in development with Steven Spielberg involved. Me, being a massive Halo fan, was very excited by this news. But there hasn’t been any real news that it’s still happening until recently when Gary Levine, president of programming for Showtime commented that the television series is very much alive:

“It is absolutely still in development, still moving forward and I’m encouraged by what we’ve seen so far. It’s still live action, and it will definitely satisfy the fans of Halo and I think also satisfy the drama audiences of Showtime.”

This is big news for the franchise as it’s very unlikely that we will see Halo 6 this year (hopefully an announcement trailer at least), no word yet on a release or any story details, but I’m hoping that we get a more official announcement by E3 this June!

What are your thoughts on this news? Are you looking forward to the tv series? Please let us know what you think in the comments below and until next time, keep gaming!
