Yet another title has fallen to the delay bug as publisher Deep Silver has just announced that Shenmue III is now delayed until sometime in 2019. The game was originally slated to launch at the end of 2017 before being delayed to the second half of this year.
In a statement, Shenmue III creator Yu Suzuki had this to say;
“To all of our backers, we are very sorry for the delay. After much discussion with our partners, Deep Silver, we have concluded that extending the release will allow us to deliver Shenmue III at its best. We promise to use this time to improve the quality of Shenmue III.”
Honestly this news doesn’t come as too surprising to me. We still haven’t seen much of the game at this point and the title probably wouldn’t have done very well against this Fall’s heavy hitters. Shenmue fans however do still have the Shenmue I & II Collection to look forward to this year.
Let us know in the comments what you think of this latest delay.
