Microsoft and 343 Industries have announced that the new enhancement update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be rolling out today.
The update is a big one and will weigh in at around 73GB so make sure you have the room for it. The update brings visual enhancements for the Xbox One X including full 4K support and HDR for all games in the collection. As always all of the games will continue to run at 60FPS as well.
There is also a new HDR and SDR video settings option in the game to allow you to fine tune and calibrate your options to make sure it looks as good as possible.
The update also brings improved Matchmaking that should make for a more stable offering across the Multiplayer and Campaign co-op modes. The game now also uses dedicated servers housed in Microsoft’s own global datacenters for all Matchmaking game sessions. to make the game run better overall.
Other features include Offline LAN support, a new Intelligent Delivery System that allows users to install certain games from the collection that they would rather play over others, new language options, faster load times, updated menus and UI and new Matchmaking Playlists.
Don’t forget that if you don’t yet own Halo: The Master Chief Collection, it will be joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup later this week on September 1st. Let us know what you think of this new update in the comments below.
