Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen Launches in the West on PS4 and PS Vita Early 2020

Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen

NIS America announced today during their 2019 Showcase that Aquaplus’s visual novel Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen will launch in the west in early 2020.

The game will be available at both retail and digitally on PlayStation 4 and digitally only on PlayStation Vita. Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen is a remake of the original Utawarerumono that never released outside of Japan. It tells the story of events that lead up to both Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth that previously launched in the west. This new version contains remastered visuals, extra content, and is important to play in order to understand the full story.

Over at the NIS America Online store there is a limited edition on PlayStation 4 available for pre-order for $79.99 that contains the following:

He is raised as one of their own, eventually receiving the name “Hakuoro.” When neighboring nations begin to encroach on his village, Hakuoro rises up against the tyrannical invaders, setting off on an unforgettable journey that lives on in the songs of legend.
