UK Weekly Sales Charts: Devil May Cry 5 and Capcom Hit the Jackpot

Devil May Cry 5

The weekly retail video game sales charts for the UK are in and Capcom has hit jackpot once again.

Devil May Cry 5 debuts in the No.1 spot this week giving Capcom their second No.1 debut of the year following Resident Evil 2 that launched in January. Despite Xbox marketing the title, Devil May Cry 5 sold best on PlayStation 4 with 80% of all copies sold being on that platform.

Anthem, which was No.1 last week, falls all the way to No.4 this week with sales dropping by 62% compared to the previous week. Some of the new titles that were in the top 10 last week such as DiRT Rally 2.0 and Trials Rising saw huge drops and fell out of the top 20 in fact. The only other new release this past week was Left Alive from Square Enix but it really didn’t perform well coming it at No.39 for the week. You can see the full top 10 selling games of the week below.
