UK Weekly Retail Video Game Sales Charts: Rage 2 Takes No.1 Spot But Opens Far Smaller than the Original

The UK weekly retail video game sales charts are in and Days Gone has been dethroned from the #1 spot after holding it for three weeks.

The new No.1 is Rage 2 from Bethesda, id Software and Avalanche Studios. While Rage 2 did take the top spot the game only sold 1/4th of what the original Rage sold on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC back in 2011. Granted digital sales are a bigger part of the market now but nowhere near enough to make the actual numbers that much higher.

Days Gone dropped to the No.2 spot and Mortal Kombat 11 dropped to No.4 having held the No.2 spot for the three weeks prior.

There were a few other new releases last week including A Plague Tale: Innocence from Focus Home Interactive and Asobo Studios. It came in at the No.9 spot in its first week. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered placed in the No.13 spot. You can see the full top 10 for the week below.
