UK Weekly Video Game Sales Charts: Team Sonic Racing Finishes First

The weekly UK retail video game sales charts are in and Sega and Sumo Digital’s Team Sonic Racing has finished in first place in its first week on sale.

Compared to 2012’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Team Sonic Racing’s first week sales were more than double. This is also the first time a Sonic game has been No.1 in the UK charts since Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games placed first back in 2008. The game sold best on the PlayStation 4 followed by the Nintendo Switch.

A couple other new releases include Assassin’s Creed III Remastered which released on the Nintendo Switch. It placed No.15 for the week. Everybody’s Golf VR finished No.22 in the first week on sale. Rage 2 saw a steep decline in its second week falling from No.1 to No.4 this week. Days Gone took the No.2 spot while FIFA 19 rounds out the top 3. You can see the full top 10 for the week below.
