The UK weekly retail video game sales charts are in and a familiar Bandicoot has once again taken the No.1 spot.
Activision’s Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled released this past week and has been a huge success right off the starting line. Not only was it the No.1 seller for the week but it was also the second highest week one sales in the history of the franchise trailing only the N.Sane Trilogy. It was also the third biggest launch of the year so far behind only Days Gone and Resident Evil 2. The game sold best on the PlayStation 4 with 66% of the copies sold being on Sony’s platform.
Compared to Team Sonic Racing which launched a few weeks ago, Crash Team Racing sold more than four times as many copies in the first week. We saw the N.Sane Trilogy stick around in these charts for a long time after it launched so it will be interesting to see if Crash Team Racing can have the gas to do the same.
The only other new release this past week was Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night which finished at the No.17 spot. The rest of the top 10 consists of titles like Days Gone, Forza Horizon 4, and other regulars. You can read that full top 10 below.
