The weekly UK retail video game sales chart for last week is in and NBA 2K20 has taken the top spot in its debut week.
While NBA 2K20 was the top selling game for the week it isn’t all good news for the title. Sales for this year’s entry are down almost a third compared to NBA 2K19. People picking the game up digitally could be one reason but it’s hard to imagine that that tells the whole story.
The runner up this past week was Spyro Reignited Trilogy which finally released on the Nintendo Switch and PC. Last week we saw four brand new IPs take the top four spots in the charts but this latest chart saw all four of those games take a hit in sales. Astral Chain which was No.1 last week fell all the way to No.11 this week. Wreckfest fell from No.2 to No.10, Control fell from No.4 to No.14. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan was the only one out of the four that still did pretty well in its second week once again taking the No.3 spot.
