Electronic Arts and developer Motive Studios have announced and revealed the first trailer for their new Star Wars game, Star Wars Squadrons.
The game will launch on October 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and will feature full cross-play support across all platforms. The game will also have full virtual reality support on both PlayStation 4 and PC.
The game will be priced at $40 when it launches at both retail and digitally and will include a single player campaign and multiplayer modes. The story mode is set after the Battle of Endor and alternates between two pilots. It will have brand new characters along with some characters Star Wars fans will recognize.
The multiplayer will feature 5v5 battles and currently has two modes announced. Fleet Battles task each team with destroying the other’s flagship while Dogfights is more to see who can destroy more of the enemy team. Players will also be able to customize their ships through items earned through playing.
