Capcom dropped a ton of Resident Evil news today during the Resident Evil showcase and we have all the details that you might’ve missed.
The first bit of news is that Resident Evil Village will be launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 7 worldwide. The PS4 and Xbox One versions are newly announced and anyone who buys the game on those platforms will get a free upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series version.
PlayStation 5 players will get to play the “Maiden” demo for the game starting today and you can download it now on the PlayStation Store. The demo is around 4GB and is a standalone experience from the main game. A different demo will be released on all platforms later this spring.
Capcom also announced the different versions of the game with the standard edition being priced at $59.99. A Deluxe Edition is available for $69.99 and comes with the Trauma Pack that includes the Samurai Edge weapon, Mr. Everywhere accessory, a Resident Evil 7 found footage screen filter, safe room background music, tape recorder save point, immediate access to a difficulty mode, and more. The Collector’s Edition will be priced at $219.99 and includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus a SteelBook case, a statue of Chris Redfield, a poster, an art book, and a collector’s box.
Anyone who pre-orders the game will get the Mr. Raccoon Weapon Charm accessory and Survival Resource Pack. Those who pre-order on the PlayStation Store will also get an exclusive mini-soundtrack.

Play Across Generations – Resident Evil Village will be eligible to upgrade from PlayStation 4 to the digital PlayStation 5 version and will support Smart Delivery for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.
