An employee recently posted a tweet on Twitter which seemingly confirms that Titanfall was supposed to be just a timed exclusive but now has been changed to a full exclusive.
Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(
