Far Cry 4 is by far the best game in the series, and arguably one of the best games of 2014. It essentially perfects the formula laid down in Far Cry 3 and throws in some good ideas from Far Cry 2 that were left out in its successor, while adding in some much-needed variety in the form of helicopters and elephants. However, it’s also abundantly clear that Ubisoft have wrung dry every bit of goodness to be found in the existing Far Cry formula, and the inevitable Far Cry 5 will need to dramatically step up its game to keep the series from stagnating. So without further ado, here are five ideas Ubisoft should consider in developing the successor to this popular franchise.
