Mortal Kombat X Jason DLC Fix (PS4) Character Select Screen

Is Jason not showing up in your character select screen yet? Well try this fix for PS4 and you will be able to play as Jason.

  • Go to the store and install Jason DLC
  • Choose a single one player fight and choose any characters
  • While the match is loading, press the PS button and go to Netflix and open the app
  • After a few seconds, go back to the Mortal Kombat X game then press start and choose player select
  • Jason will be added to the select screen


This is the only way to play as Jason until the PS4 version is fixed. Hope this helps!

    • That works to add him to the character select screen, but, he’s still unplayable and greyed out with the option to “purchase Jason”. I have the Kombat Pack as well. Close, but still no cigar.

      • Not a permanent fix but the best we got for PS4 if anyone wants to play as him before the full fix comes out.

I GOT THE KOMBAT PACK WITH MY LIMITED EDITION PREORDER AND STILL IT WONT LET ME DOWNLOAD HIM. Is anyone having this exact same problem? If so, if you fix it please let me know how i can fix it because i am not ok with losing 30$ at all. NOT AT ALL. I have been tweeting Ed Boon and Nether Realm but they arent helping me for S*** and its pissing me off. Please help me in this matter.

        So don’t try to download the combat pack, instead go to the playstation store, then in the search option type Jason and look for his single download then download it.
        Once you do that so the same thing under search and type in horror pack and download it by itself also. That is how it will have to be done for each dlc pack that comes out. I made sure I asked lol. We’ll hope you enjoy Jason. He’s pretty bad ass

  7. it works for me, but i dont have netflix in my country so i had to make a new account and when you go again to character select, he is not there again so it kinda sux

  23. Yeah I did this little nonsense bullshit asshole trick and surprise surprise…..still doesn’t work. First off, I bought the 99 dollar release of MKX with the understanding that this DLC would already be in my game, which it wasn’t so I had to waits patiently just like everyone else. The day finally comes and I basically get told that I can’t play MY dlc. Good show Neatherealm, really impressive.

    • Surprise surprise, it does work. Make sure you installed him after downloading, and make sure you check for updates for MK X. Then if he has not shown up, then try this trick again. It worked like a charm.

      • I would do this but it doesnt let me install Jason. how does this help me if i cant even install him. You know what this feels like? I just wiped my ass with 30$ and burnt it to ashes then mixed those ashes in my water then pissed it out into a toilet. Thats what this feels like.

        • yeah, I was in the exact same boat as you until Corde5Cordeiro0511 up above posted his solution. On the character select screen highllight the greyed out Jason then press x to go to the PlayStation Store. Once you get there, press R1 until you come to Goro. Look under Goro and you will see another greyed out Jason which costs. $0.00 if you have the kombat pack. install then go back to the game and if still . dont work go to the store once again. That worked for me. Oh while youre at the store, you might also want to install the skin pack, samurai pack, etc. if you havent already

          • I no what the problem is now. Im sure this works but mine is that the Kombat Pack i downloaded didnt come though so i wasted 30$. Well on the bright side i can purchase him seperatley may 12. Are they 5$ each because i plan to only get Jason and predator.

    • How is it a waste of $30 if you get him, and eventually the rest of the DLC characters and skin packs?

      And it works for me, and for those that it doesn’t work for, make sure you install the pack after you download it. Also it will be fixed soon enough today, if not by tomorrow.

      • Its a waste of 30$ because we were jipped. Just because it worked for you does not mean it worked for every one els. It still does not work for us so forgive me and Johnny for being a tad bit pissed off, you know exactly why its a waste of 30$

  25. Glitch works as far as bringing up Jason in the character select menu but then says “There is no content. It might not be available for sale yet, or might no longer be for sale.”
    Been waiting for this character for a while even bought all the characters dlc just to have them. Please help!

    • What does it need to update for? It is right there, just download it. Did you go into your downloads after you downloaded it? You need to install it next.

      • The Playstation Store updates every Tuesday adding new content, the DLC wasn’t available until then.

  37. game been patched for ps4 3gb file. you must go to psn store WITH IN The Game to download it. dont go to psn store on the ps4 main menu.

      • yes you have to go to psn in the game main menu when new dlc comes out because psn store doesn’t get update right away

    Called Sony, they had me try a few things, all didn’t work so he told me to wait and try later and if it still doesn’t work to call back.

        • It didnt work. It said i did not have the Kombat pack. 30$ out of the window. I know i bought it to with the limited edition. I am not happy about this one bit.

  39. For everyone that is having the problem of “No content found” when trying to download Jason, this might help. For some reason when you go to download him, the screen it takes you to is for the Kombat Pack, which isn’t out yet. Scroll over a few pages and you’ll see him.

  42. Guys, I don’t know if something else happened but now I have Jason fixed in my character menu.
    I did the Netflix thing and something else after that:

    – Go to the store and install Jason DLC
    – Choose a single one player fight and choose any characters
    – While the match is loading, press the PS button and go to Netflix and open the app
    – After a few seconds, go back to the Mortal Kombat X game then press start and choose player select
    – Jason will be added to the select screen
    – Go to the PS4 configurations and then PSN Account Management
    – Restore the licenses and reset your PS4

    After that Jason was available for me!

  43. There was also a 1GB update for the game last night. Go to the game on the seletion screen, hit the “options” button on the controller and search for updates. Maybe that will fix it.

  44. In my case even the ps store option gives the message “there is no content”. God, Netherealm is messing this up so bad.

  47. I bought jason on PS4 and it was working for about 2 days but now it stopped, has this happened to anyone else, if so if you have managed to fix it please let me know.
