We are less than a day away from Nintendo’s E3 Event for this year, and the hype has definitely been spreading – especially since nobody really knows what will happen! Nintendo has only confirmed a few games that should be expected to be shown off tomorrow at 9am PDT (12pm EDT), and the rest is entirely caught up in rumors brought out by the public. With all news relating to Super Smash Bros released Sunday, what else does Nintendo have in store for us?
One thing is for sure – Nintendo has confirmed that their event this year will be focusing solely on games that will be coming out in 2015. With that being said, Nintendo has confirmed that we will not be seeing anything relating to the new system (which they code-named the NX) nor will we see anything relating to games on the mobile market. We will probably be seeing more of Mario Maker, Star Fox, and Xenoblade Chronicles X, because it has been previously stated before that all three of these are expected to come out in 2015 at some point. Currently, it’s no secret that the Wii U is suffering in terms of sales, but Nintendo seems to be determined to give a lot to those who stick by it. After all, we have already been given hit games like Hyrule Warriors and Super Mario 3D Land, and we can expect hit games such as Xenoblade Chronicles X and Zelda Wii U.
The Wii U may not be doing so well right now, but luckily we should also be expecting to see some 3DS content as well at E3. Nobody knows many specific games, but thanks to this leaked trailer we now know to expect Hyrule Warriors to come out on the 3DS this year with additional characters and what appears to be some new features and items. Perhaps this will be shown off tomorrow, because this looks like it was made to be shown off at E3, but this trailer was apparently uploaded a few days ago by accident, leaking the surprise. However, will this be Nintendo’s excuse to not show off Zelda Wii U tomorrow? Zelda’s absence from E3 makes the event feel hollow, but now that they have something Zelda-related to show off, perhaps Nintendo feels that the event will now feel complete.
With all this content, however, what will make E3 for Nintendo? Even with all of this being revealed and rumors going around, such as the rumored reveal of a new Super Mario Bros game, none of the games coming to E3 really seem to be big reveals that will spring up a lot of hype. A lot of people are saying that Star Fox will make this E3 special for Nintendo, and I agree that Star Fox probably will be a big reveal, but Star Fox won’t be enough to make Nintendo’s event feel complete with any other major releases. Everyone had Zelda Wii U to look forward to this year at E3, but producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that the team is not planning anything new to reveal at E3 about the game this year. Many people have faith that the game will still make some sort of appearance to keep the hype going for this upcoming game. The big rumor going around right now is that we will get some official artwork and a trailer. I don’t know about you guys, but I would totally be satisfied with that, because at this point I will take any information I can about this game.
Overall, Nintendo has several games to reveal tomorrow, but the event itself may fall short if everything that has been confirmed to show up tomorrow is all that we will be getting to see. So, what do you think will happen tomorrow? What do you think about Hyrule Warriors coming to 3DS? Do you think we’ll be getting a new Mario game? Let us know what you think in the comments.
