Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Is Now Cel-Shaded

Yes, you read that right with just two months before being released, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 has had a major makeover in graphics. Gone are the extremely outdated, borderline PS2 graphics and in its place is a cel-shaded style. Is this a worrying sign that this game is a disaster waiting to happen? You wouldn’t think a game should have changes like this with just under 2 months before being released.

Check out these newly release images below that show the cel-shaded graphics for the first time.

  1. Much better tbh.

  2. better but still terrible. robomodo are a terrible developer… still using the crappy engine with terrible physics as THPS:HD….

    • It’s still not impressive but it made ugly slightly less ugly.

    • And Rocksteady Games took the same engine and made Arkham Knight, hard to believe.

      • The problem is not the engine, but Robomodo itself.

    • They’re using UE3, I def wouldn’t blame the engine…

  3. Looks better than the original graphics, but I’d rather just have a realistic style with good graphics. They should have delayed the game and improved the graphics massively.

  4. Yikes, that last photo with all the skaters just seems bad. Like a splash screen for a mobile game. If these are bullshots, maybe the game will look better in motion. Hopefully, the gameplay is fun still.

  5. LOL that an outline around things = Major changes.

  6. I hate Cel-Shaded graphics. They disgust me.

  7. Looks good! I like the style.

  8. what a lazy fn cop out

  9. Ok throw this bad boy on the Vita and I’ll buy it digital….
