UK Retailer Simply Games Leaves Thousands Of Customers Without FIFA 16 On Release Date

It’s one of the worst possible things to happen as a gamer. You are looking forward to a brand new game coming out soon, you have it pre-ordered and you wait in excitement to receive your game on the release date. Then it doesn’t arrive on release date, it’s a horrible feeling. This is what many in the UK are feeling right now as one of the most popular games of the year, FIFA 16 has not turned up for thousands of people in the UK. To say they are not happy about it would be a major understatement.

We sent out this tweet asking people from the UK if they received their FIFA 16 from SimplyGames. Here are some of the replies

Royal Mail 1st class service means it should be delivered within 1-2 days. Royal Mail are quoted of saying “93% of parcels are received the next day” most pre orders were sent on the 22nd so customers should have received them by now. SimplyGames have also been said to guarantee release date delivery for FIFA 16.

No official statement from SimplyGames has been given as of now, phone lines have said to have been closed down possibly due to the amount of phone calls? They are also not allowing people to post to their official Facebook page. Many customers have taken to posting negative reviews on their trustpilot for the bad customer service. It’s strange this has happened because SimplyGames is a very reputable site in the UK with over 11,000 likes on their Facebook page.

  1. i am very disappointed today as i was eagerly anticipating the release of Fifa, i saw the postman and no Fifa, i have never had a problem in the past with simply games but they way they handled the situation is wrong.The least they could do would be to say something on social media and keep people updated but no, not even that they would rather spend their time removing the review site from their website and report bad reviews. I think they could not deal with the all the orders so they just lied telling people it had been despatched to keep us happy, after all they have our money now. All i can say is i am disappointed and they may have lost a customer and i’m probably not the only one they have lost because of this it was very poorly handled

    • i also had the game pre ordered for over 4 months!!
