We didn’t have a date or price for the upcoming Outer Rim DLC for Star Wars Battlefront up until now but it appears a Gamestop.com listing may have finally given it to us. According to the listing the Outer Rim DLC will launch on the morning of April 5 and cost $15. If you own the season pass already then the DLC is free.
For those that don’t know the Outer Rim DLC will bring 4 new maps that will let you fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine. Also included is the new Extraction mode where the Rebels must fight to deliver a resource shipment to their transport before time runs out. Empire players will have to stop the Rebels before the delivery is made. The DLC will also bring new weapons, star cards, and 2 new heroes to the game. Those heroes are Sullustan rebel Nien Nunb and Rodian bounty hunter Greedo.
A lot of players have complained that there isn’t enough content in Star Wars Battlefront but EA has been trying to fix that with the free DLC over the past 2 months and now with the first paid DLC for the game. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll jump back into the game but I’ll have my eye on it. What about you? Are you excited to play the new maps in the Outer Rim DLC? Tell us in the comments below.
