The Cheapest Places To Pre-Order The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition In The UK

It’s been a busy couple of days for the Call of Duty franchise as numerous preparations and leaks have gone into the reveal of Infinite Warfare and even more interestingly the inclusion of a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with the pre-order of the new 2016 title.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a full campaign and 10 multiplayer maps from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game remastered in stunning high-definition, featuring next generation textures, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting and much more to bring a new generation experience to fans. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is included in the Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Although many fans were angered at the bundling of the beloved and highly demanded MW remaster being held behind the ‘paywall’ of Infinite Warfare, it makes sense from Activision’s point of view as a business; since Call of Duty sales have been slowing down, what better way to claw back those gamers who abandoned the series due to its futuristic settings by including a remaster of the classic 2007 Call of Duty title. Because it’s not in the standard editions, the RRP for the ‘Legacy Edition’ (the lowest entry point to get the MW remaster) is around £79.99, or around £30 more than the standard editions.

Due to this, many might be asking where’s the cheapest place to pre-order the game then? Well, pre-orders only went up yesterday but for those itching to secure their pre-order, here are the different option where you can order the game today in the UK.

Amazon currently had the ‘Legacy Edition’ listed for a whole £10 less than other retailers in the UK. Pre-ordering through Amazon also means you don’t have to pay the full £69 up front because Amazon won’t take the money from your account until much closer to the shipping date. If you really can’t help yourself and want to get your pre-order in, then Amazon is currently your cheapest way of doing so.

Unfortunately, Game’s listing for the Legacy Edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is currently at the full RRP of £79.99, making it £10 more expensive than the Amazon listing. However, there is a reason behind that. Game’s listing gets you 500 Cod Points, redeemable in Black Ops 3 and also a double-sided poster, both of which are unavailable via Amazon as we speak.

Xbox Digital Store

The Xbox digital store naturally prices at the RRP as most digital store fronts do. The ‘Digital Legacy Edition’ provides some exclusive benefits unavailable in other physical retail copies however. Purchasing via Xbox store will bag you 1000 Cod Points, which normally cost £7.99 alone. These Call of Duty Points can be unlocked in Black Ops III by searching for “Infinite Warfare” on the Xbox Store and downloading the “Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare CP Incentive”. A digital in-game item will be included for pre-orders of any Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare edition on Xbox Live. More details will be provided for this item at a later date.

Because it’s still early days these are the only retailers open at the moment with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare pre-orders but if you want to secure your copy as early as possible then Amazon is your cheapest option, although you’ll be missing out on some exclusive items found at Game and the Xbox digital store.
