Homefront: The Revolution Debuts in Third Place on UK Charts

Homefront: The Revolution was one of the few new titles to release in the top 10 of the UK charts this week, according to Chart Track in the UK. The game from Deep Silver/Dambuster Studios debuted in a respectable third place. It was the PS4 exclusive title – that we now know reached 2.7 million sales in its first week – Uncharted 4 that took the top spot, with sales declining by 78% compared to its first week while ID Software’s DOOM took second place seeing a lesser decline of 35%

Here are the top 10 best-selling titles (combined sales) for the week:

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
2. Doom
3. Homefront: The Revolution
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops III
5. Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright
6. Valkyria Chronicles Remastered
7. Tom Clancy’s The Division
8. Grand Theft Auto V
9. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers
10. FIFA 16

As always, Black Ops 3 and Grand Theft Auto V also featured in the charts, coming in at 4th and 8th respectively. Other new debuts included Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright which debuted in fifth, while Valkyria Chronicles Remastered debuted in sixth place.

Homefront: The Revolution came in at third compared to the original 2011 title which debuted at first place in the UK charts in 2011. In all fairness, the competition wasn’t as tough then as it was for Homefront: The Revolution.

If you’re on the fence about Homefront then I’d suggest taking a look at my review here in which I detail my judgement on the game that I am actually enjoying albeit in spite of the various technical glitches.
