ThisGenGaming received an email today with a juicy image that appears to be our first look at an official promo image from Injustice 2. Previous rumors point to Injustice 2 releasing in March 2017, which means that a reveal at E3 next week seems like the most likely scenario.
The first Injustice game, Injustice: Gods Among Us received critical praise and scored 81 on MetaCritic for the Xbox 360 version of the game. In the leaked image, we clearly see Batman and Flash, though Batman may be employing some Kryptonite technology.
Injustice 2 was almost a given since NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon all but confirmed the game on his Twitter director of the first Injustice game changed his profile picture to the “II” logo indicating an imminent announcement of Injustice 2. Boon followed this up with a series of tweets teasing fans even further:
