It looks like the release date of the next Destiny expansion has leaked. Ahead of the official reveal tomorrow the following image indicates the Rise of Iron expansion will launch on September 20.
It’s interesting that this picture only mentions the expansion coming to PS4 and Xbox One so that means no support for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Hopefully that means the expansion can be much more ambitious.
UPDATE: More info on the expansion has leaked via a Xbox store listing. To play Rise of Iron you must own Destiny and The Taken King.
The expansion will broaden the explorable territory on Earth in Old Russia. Players will visit a zone called The Plaguelands with Lord Saladin, the character who runs the occasional Iron Banner tournaments.
It will also include all of the following:
- New Story Campaign & Quests
- New Armor and Gear
- New Weapons
- New Raid
- Maximum Light Increase
- New Strike
- New Plaguelands Zone & Social Space
- New Crucible Mode & Maps
- New Enemy Faction and Bosses
