Mass Effect: Andromeda is an upcoming action role-playing third-person shooter video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although it shares the universe of the original trilogy, the title is considered a game derived, not the fourth episode of the saga. It was officially announced on June 15, 2015 during the Electronic Arts press conference at E3 2015.
Players are able to play as either a male or female human character. They will be able to pilot the new, customizable Mako, a six-wheeled buggy-type vehicle seen in the reveal trailer and driven in the first Mass Effect game.
The game takes place long after the events of the first three Mass Effect games, in the Andromeda Galaxy.
