Microsoft execs had confirmed last year that the Halo TV show produced by veteran film director Steven Spielberg remains in “very active development.” and Phil Spencer was once again asked this question on Twitter today by IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey and his answer was very promising.

Back in In May 2014, it was reported that Microsoft was in negotiations with premium cable channel Showtime for the TV show. That link has since been confirmed, as Showtime president David Nevins confirmed that the program has found a home at his network, Showtime.
The Halo show was announced in May 2013 as part of the Xbox One reveal event and details/footage have been thin since then but it sounds very promising with the names behind it. Franchises like Halo, Assassin’s Creed, The Division, Life is Strange and more are finding that going to TV series/movies can help them reach new audiences so we can’t wait for this one to come out.
