Pandora Now Officially Supports Background Music on Xbox One

Microsoft’s summer update brought with it a plethora of new UWP apps for the Xbox One and while users have been able to use Groove Music thus far, Xbox One owners who prefer Pandora will be pleased to know that the app now supports background music on the Xbox One.

Pandora will change the way you discover and listen to music.

• Personalize your stations by thumbing tracks up or down.
• See what’s playing by glancing at your Pandora Live Tile.
• Use voice commands with Cortana, your personal assistant
• When you create a Pandora account, your stations are accessible to you on desktop, mobile, TVs and home devices, or in your car.

Exclusive features for Xbox One:

• Set your own soundtrack with uninterrupted personalized background music on the Xbox while you game

• Easily pause and resume your music or skip to the next song via the guide

  1. Is this live on Xbox or for preview? I see the author has stated that we have been “using Groove thus far” but this is not the case, Groove is in preview, haven’t been able to try background music since the launch of the software update which for me was July 30.

  2. I live in Australia an I am still unabke to install the uwp version of pandora, I too have had the update since the 30th of July
