The PS4 Slim was leaked recently thanks to a series of Gumtree/Ebay listings in the UK that showed off pictures of the new console as well as unboxing and booting up videos. Now, a more credible and well-known reseller here in the UK has a listing up for Sony’s unannounced PS4 Slim console.
CeX Ltd. is a second-hand goods chain based in the United Kingdom specialising in technology, computing, and video games. It was established in 1992 in London, and has since grown to have more than 320 stores in the UK. CeX used to go under the name Computer Exchange but switched to CeX. CeX stands for Complete Entertainment Exchange.
If this listing is indeed correct, it appears as if the company will be selling the PS4 Slim for £380 and buying it second-hand for £304. This is much higher than what is expected since the main focus of the Slim is that its supposedly intended to be a cheaper machine than the PS4 currently on store shelves.
This could point to the chance that CEX might be anticipating stock shortages for the new Slim PS4 and is, therefore, keeping prices above the RRP but we would have to wait and see if that is indeed the case. If you missed it, we recently had the chance to exclusively reveal that the PS4 slim is rumoured to be available worldwide on September 14, one week after Sony’s PlayStation meeting on the 7th.
