The backward compatibility feature on the Xbox One allows fans to play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. This feature has been here for a while, and it has been received very well due to the likes of popular and great games like Red Dead Redemption, Portal; Still Alive and Fallout 3 being made available.
Xbox boss, Phil Spencer has revealed on twitter that he has found the Xbox compatibility feature great, and that he would like to see all Xbox 360 games eventually being playable on the Xbox One.
Phil Spencer has also recently revealed that backward compatibility helps sell consoles, and fans have requested many of their favorite games to be available to be ported to the Xbox One.Black Ops 2 has recently topped the charts, beating Red Dead Redemption which has been on the top requested games for a while. It has always been a fan-favorite in the stunning franchise. However, the decision isn’t totally up to Microsoft,since the publisher of the game also has to agree . Many have gladly agreed to allow their games to be ported to the Xbox One, however some remain hesitant due to their plans of remastering their games.
