Well to probably the surprise of everyone today Take-Two announced in their earnings report that Mafia 3 has become the fastest selling game in their history. In the first week alone 2K shipped 4.5 million copies of Mafia 3 at retailers and digitally. This is pretty impressive when you think about some of their other franchises such as NBA 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, and more.
Mafia 3 released in the first week of October and was largely viewed as a disappointment critically as the game got poor to average review scores from most outlets. Despite that it seems the game managed to find sales success. What do you think of the surprising news of Mafia 3 selling so well?
