Many people had wondered if GTA Online will co-exist with Red Dead Redemption 2, and during Take-Two’s quarterly conference call it was briefly discussed.
It was confirmed that GTA Online will be getting more content throughout 2017, although no specifics were confirmed. It’s not surprising that more GTA Online will be getting more content this year after the huge revenue that GTA Online brings in for Take-Two each year with Shark Card sales.
Take-Two also commented on GTA Online co-existing with Red Dead Redemption 2 saying, “I don’t think there is any competitive dynamic in any of our upcoming releases” so it sounds like Take-Two is not worried that GTA Online or Red Dead Redemption 2 popularity will hurt either of their games. It could also mean that support for GTA Online will continue past Red Dead Redemption 2.
