RiME has got a May 26th release date for PC and Xbox One and will cost $29.99/€34.99/£29.99. The Nintendo Switch will get a version that releases later in the year but costs way more for some odd reason. The price for the Nintendo Switch version is $39.99/€44.99/£39.99.
No actual reason was given for the extra 10 price hike for each currency for the Nintendo Switch version, and it doesn’t make much sense to charge more for the same version that’s on another console. It’s going to hurt sales for sure, and many would wonder why they have to pay a higher price for the same game.
We’re hoping to hear why this has happened soon, and we will make sure to keep you updated on this story.

It’s probably all that extra effort to make it work with the limitations of the Switch.

Yup, came to say the exact thing.

So pay more for most likely what will be lower frame rate, resolution, and rendering? So may fuck yous to consumers from Nintendo of late. Is this their last cash grab before finally giving up?

Definitely the last chance I’m giving Nintendo. Maybe they’ll pull their heads out of their rears. Doubt it though

Because they know if you bought a Switch you have no problem being ripped off?

It’s $29.99 at GameStop.
