Tekken 7 Won’t Include A Certain Character To Avoid Issues With Animal Activists

In an interview with VG247, the executive producer of Tekken 7 Katsuhiro Harada revealed that a certain character will not make the cut because of animal activists and a video that went viral last year. The video in question being the one of a man punching a kangaroo and the fallout from it all, this caused issues with the development team for Tekken 7 which lead to Roger Jr being cut from the roster to avoid potential issues.

Harada explained why the character had to be cut in the interview, with him saying “it seems that in the last few years there’s a lot more animal activists – even though they probably wouldn’t play our game they would still hear about that, about a kangaroo in our game being punched, and would complain about it.”

Kuma the bear will however remain in the game with the reason being because bears are “obviously stronger than a human being”

We want to hear your comments about this situation below, I can imagine there will be some interesting points of view on this subject.

  1. So Roger JR. has been cut from the game never being a fan of that character so for me it doesn’t really matter
