April is over but it delivered some great games to us throughout the month. Maybe you picked some of them up but you also might have missed some. If you want to know what some of the best games to come out last month were read on for our Top 5 Games of April 2017.
5. Little Nightmares
Created by Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares is a dark platformer about Six who is trying to escape from a mysterious world. It’s a very creepy and disturbing experience full of creatures that are out to get you. Little Nightmares was one of the surprise great games of last month and any horror fan should check it out.
4. Puyo Puyo Tetris
If you’re a fan of puzzle games you might want to check out the combination of Tetris and Puyo Puyo in Puyo Puyo Tetris. The game allows you to play these two different games separately or together in the brand new Fusion mode. Not only that but the game is full of content whether you want to play solo, local multiplayer or online. The game is budget priced and is worth picking up whether you have a PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
3. What Remains of Edith Finch
What Remains of Edith Finch is the second game from the team over at Giant Sparrow who brought us The Unfinished Swan several years ago. This new game is so much more than a walking simulator as you play as different members of the Finch family and learn how each passed on from this world. Each tale is unique and shows that Giant Sparrow are great storytellers. If you play it I’d recommend finishing it in one sitting. Check it out on PS4 or PC and look for our review soon.
2. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
If you have a Nintendo Switch then you must go out and pick up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which just came out last week. If you played the game on Wii U you’ll have played most of what is here but there are a few new characters and the improved Battle mode. If you never played the game it’s a must have with 48 tracks, over 40 characters, eight battle mode tracks and many different modes to play. Plus playing Mario Kart 8 anywhere is pretty sweet.
1. Persona 5
Of all the games released in April I would say the top one has to be Persona 5. It’s one of the highest reviewed games of this generation and for good reason. You play as a band of heroes called the Phantom Thieves as they seek to rid the world of people with bad desires. It’s one of the best JRPG’s in maybe the last decade and just has so much style. Whether you are hanging out with classmates or diving into and trying to clear a palace this game will easily give you close to or more than a 100 hours of gameplay. You can pick it up on PS4 or PS3 and look for our review on the game soon.
So those are our top 5 games of April. Do you agree with our list or do you think we left something out? Let us know in the comments.
