April is gone and we had some great games come out last month but it’s time to look towards the future in our The Top 5 Games To Look Forward to in May 2017 List!
5. Farpoint
If you have a PlayStation VR and been waiting for the next must have title for it than Farpoint is your game. Farpoint is a First-person shooter space adventure set on a hostile alien planet. You’re on a mission to pick up scientists studying an anomaly near Jupiter when a sudden rupture sends you and their station crashing into an unknown alien world. You’ll play through a full length single player campaign searching for survivors and trying to get home while using weapons ranging from a charged plasma rifle to a railgun. The game also has 2-player online co-op allowing you to join up with a friend to blast aliens in VR. Look for it on May 16th.
4. Rime
After a successful Kickstarter and a couple delays Friday The 13th The Game is finally coming out later this month on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. At launch the game will be multiplayer only and will allow players to take on the role of Jason Voorhees in his various incarnations throughout the storied franchise. It’s a 1v7 asymmetric multiplayer title that pits Jason against seven counselors as they try to survive in three maps spanning Camp Crystal Lake, Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge. Look for it on your digital stores on May 26th.
2. Injustice 2
Fighting game fans get hyped because Netherrealm Studios is about to unleash Injustice 2 on us later this month on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us will allow players to build and power up their favorite DC heroes and villains to way to want to. You can personalize each one with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game making your Batman different than any other player’s Batman. With a brand new cinematic story mode and a huge roster of characters including Batman, Superman, Brainiac, Supergirl, Bane and many more Injustice 2 is going to be bigger than the original in every way. Look for it at retail and digitally on May 16th.
1. Prey
Prey is the next game from Bethesda and Arkane Studios who are the creators of the Dishonored franchise. In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities. It’s been called by some as Bioshock in space and having played the demo I can see some similarities. You can try the demo now for yourself or just pick up the game when it launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Friday May 5th.

Prey is also at the top of my list 🙂 I look forward to see if the game has a cool atmosphere, as I loved games like Bioshock and Alien: Isolation and I hope this one resembles them.
