Phil Spencer was recently interviewed by Eurogamer and during the interview he briefly discussed marketing deals, and how he is not a fan of some of the deals that are made. He said “I don’t know what deals get written. I’ve been pretty open about, I’m not a fan of doing deals that hold back specific pieces of content from other platforms.”
This being in reference to the recent news of Destiny 2 having one year exclusive content only on the PS4. He continued saying “You don’t see that in the deals we’ve done” which is in reference to Assassin’s Creed Origins and Middle Earth: Shadow Of War which both have marketing deals with Xbox. While discussing those marketing deals he said “We’ll have a marketing deal on those, but I don’t say, hey, I need some kind of Strike or skin somebody else can’t play.”

Psn Merc
Yet until this year Xbox One players got exclusive content in FIFA. Then you have the whole Rise of the Tomb Raider deal. Phil Spencer is a hypocrite. All of the sudden he doesn’t believe in it? Yeah OK.

Destiny has always been mainly a ps4 game. There has always been exclusive content for it, exotics and crucible maps
