If I had to say so myself 2017 may be the best year yet for PlayStation Plus members on PS4. Over the course of this year we’ve seen Sony shift to offering more AAA titles on the service compared to previous years. PS4 owners have gotten titles such as Just Cause 3, Until Dawn, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and many more for free over the past few months. Sony is still offering some of the better indie titles as well such as Amnesia Collection, Life is Strange and Strike Vector EX. It’s safe to assume we will continue to see this trend come November so let’s make a few predictions on what those titles may end up being
1. Dragon Age: Inquistion
Talking about quality AAA titles how about Dragon Age: Inquisition appearing in the Plus lineup? The last entry in this franchise released around three years ago to critical acclaim and a bevy of Game of the Year awards. With a diverse open world, a memorable cast of characters and free player choice on how you play and shape the story Dragon Age: Inquisition is one of the best RPG’s of this generation and would be a welcome game in every Plus member’s collection.
2. The Talos Principle
Like I said while we continue to see the rise of AAA titles in the Plus lineup we are still seeing some of the more well received indie titles on the service as well. The Talos Principle would be the perfect choice to include to continue that trend. The game was published by Devolver Digital who has had titles on the Plus service before. The Talos Principle is a philosophical first-person puzzle game from Croteam, the creators of the legendary Serious Sam series. With beautiful visuals, over 100 puzzles, and a great story this title deserves to be played by many more people.
3. Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank got a full on remake last year on the PlayStation 4 and is one of the best exclusives on the PS4 to date. We’ve seen Sony include many of their own first party games on PlayStation Plus this year such as LittleBigPlanet 3, Until Dawn and others and Ratchet & Clank could be the next. Many families are going to be picking up PlayStation 4’s this November and giving away a great title like Ratchet & Clank that all ages can have fun with would be a good idea.
4. Far Cry 4
Far Cry 5 is on the way in early 2018 and what better way to build excitement than to include Far Cry 4 in the PlayStation Plus lineup. We’ve seen Ubisoft throw their titles on both PlayStation Plus and Games with Gold so it’s likely that Far Cry 4 could show up soon. It has a huge open world to explore with lots to do but even better it has co-op features for PlayStation Plus members to play together on.
