The holiday season is around the corner and with the Xbox One X that came out on November 7th, it’s that time to see what my predictions are for December. The free Games With Gold for November are: Trackmania Turbo, Tales from the Borderland Complete Season, Nights into Dreams and Deadfall Adventures.
1) Beyond Eyes
Beyond Eyes is a game where a 10 year old girl name Rae lost her eyesight in a fireworks accident and how she interacts with the world around her. The world is white but items can be highlighted to indicate where they are located. The game centers around sound and challenges would include some with the sound of how far cars are and whether or not its safe to walk across the street. In other words, this would depend a lot on sound.
2) Alien: Isolation
Alien: Isolation is a first person action adventure game with emphasis on stealth and survival horror skills. You control Amanda Ripley and you must explore the space station and complete objectives while avoiding and defeating enemies upon the ship. You can run, climb ladders, sneak into vents, crouch behind objects, or even hide under tables or lockers. This Alien game features just one of the Alien creatures that cannot be defeated which makes the stealth necessary in order to survive.
3) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Earlier this month, we did a April Fool’s joke about this game becoming backwards compatible only to see that earlier this week, Xbox announced that it has become one of the latest games in the backwards compatible library. Now since this is one of the fan favorites, it would make sense that they would have this as a Games with Gold sooner or later.
The game is set during the first cold war (1986 to 1989) and then again during the second cold war (2025). During the first cold war Alex Mason chronicles the rise of infamy against Raul Mendenez. During the second cold war it is Mason’s son David who fights against Mendenez.
4) South Park: The Stick of Truth
South Park The Stick of Truth is a RPG in which the new kid in town is torn between the game war between the humans, elves, and wizards over the Stick of Truth. During the game, we come across Nazi zombies, aliens, and gnomes. With all of this going on, the town is threaten with destruction. Just like the cartoon series, the Stick of Truth does have the same elements of comedy and humor which makes it a funny and lovable game. The gameplay is great. When playing as the new kid, just the interaction between the other kids in the game makes you feel like you are in the show/game itself.
