Sony Is Letting People Try PlayStation VR at Home for Free for a Limited Time

Have you found yourself interested in PlayStation VR but just unsure if you really want to jump in yet? Well Sony may let you try PlayStation VR for free in the comfort of your own home.

Sony has begun sending out emails to select PlayStation Plus members giving them the option to try PlayStation VR for free for 14 days. The email contains a voucher code that you can use to reserve your PlayStation VR Trial Bundle. Each bundle includes the headset, a PlayStation Camera, 2 PlayStation Move Motion Controllers, a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR and a PlayStation VR 2.0 Demo Disc.

Keep in mind you will need a credit card if you want to partake in this offer. Sony will place a hold on your credit card when they ship the unit to you. If you decide you don’t want to keep it after the trial period just send it back. If you don’t send it back within 10 days of the trial ending Sony will charge you for the unit.

Let us know in the comments if you’ll be taking Sony up on this offer.

Have your say!

  1. Its flopping so bad, this is the measures they are willing to take.

    • You clearly didn’t see the sales info. This is far and away the best selling VR option consistently since launch. Sales are in the millions. Try again.

      • Oh I agree its the best selling vr headset, but vr as a whole is failing and wont be relevant in gaming for long. Just porn.

        • your porn comment made me gasp in laughter lool!!! i guess to some degree it could be seen as ‘it should sell more/we hope it sells more’ but the simple truth is it is the highest selling VR headset for gaming and it also holds more than 50% of market share when it comes to VR as an industry which no matter how spun is a great thing.. we can only wait and see how things go.. and depends on how much the install base needs to be before the industry and devs decide its worth developing for or at least support it like Bethesda is…

    • like…your comment?

  2. wow! great idea!
